I need some help! I'm tired of paying $300 + for oil changes I know I can do myself. I have checked this entire web site with no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction? The owners manual doesn't help at all. I'm looking for step-by-step instructions with pictures if possible. Thanks guys!

Just in case you don't know, you remove the siphon tube by squeezing the knurled ring (about the size of a dime) that is horizontal to the top of the oil bag and then pulling up. Don't try to pull the clear plastic tube out of the black top piece.

Also, add the oil slowly.

It's easy (if you know how).

What do dealers charge for an oil change? I've never had them do one, and never will, just curious.

If you don't want to mess with the siphon tube you could try a inexpensive PELA 6000 OIL EXTRACTOR 6 LITRE http://ca.binnacle.com/product_info.php?products_id=3291

Home Depot has a model 209 Oil Filter and PVC Plier that someone from another forum said was the best he could find. At about $20 it's better than more expensive, apparently.

My problem is that I can't get my head under the bike to find the oil drain plug and feeling around for it isn't an option with hot pipes. What are others using to get access?

SORRY, I SEE I'M NOT ON THE KGS FORUM BUT SOME INFO MAY APPLY
