I was servicing the brakes on my K1200s and changed out all the fluid in the abs pressure modulator. All went well until i went to tighten the vent caps for the front and rear circuits. One of the caps snapped off as i was tightening it. I really didnt apply too much pressure either. Crap plastic!

In any case, Its either macgyer something together or order a new vent line from germany at a cost of $100can ( plus shipping I would imagine)

Does anyone have ideas on how to proceed. I dont think there is any pressure behind the cap, i believe its just an overflow for the circuit.

It sounds like something has affected the cap.
They survive brake fluid so they are pretty solid, but some cleaners can make them fall apart.
If it "snapped" in half then you could probably glue it back together as it is just a vent (as you say)(if we are thinking about the same thing).

Either way I would order a new one or check with wreckers, because you don't want brake fluid coming out in there.
