...and after I got to thinking about where I'd seen the infamous Flying Brick motor outside of its usual environs I decided to try and find some:

-- and I'm sure it's in a boat or something else, maybe even a tired Mini...?

Anyone know of others?

Cheers!

One guy bought a K75 engine off of me to build a race cart.

Another guy is currently getting some parts from me to build a K75 airplane!

I know of three or four people who have built electric K75s/K100s.

I actually saw an Ecomobile on the road here yesterday when I was running errands!

Quite a few Mini owners take heads from the 4 valve K100RSs and K1100s to soup them up.

I have thought about a k powered boat from time to time. A couple guys on ADV used a KLR to power a boat as he went from colombia to panama I believe. It didn't go as well as planned, they thought 6 days but took them a month at sea and finally towed into land by a boat... The engineering document is pretty interesting, it seems overly complicated though.

Couldn't help but think the the k100 would have been much better suited the task as he broke a few chains and limped most of the way.

Also I think a turbo k100 in a Mini would be a hell of a fun ride. It would also be interesting to mate a bmw engine in an old mini given the BWM ownership of the new mini....
