Does anyone make frame sliders for the KR besides San Jose BMW? I've searched the web and the archives and I can't find anyone else. Basically, I am looking for longer pucks because the factory aren't IMHO long enough. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Howdy Jason,

You can find a nice set HERE.

If you go with these, please post what you find out (total cost incl. shipping, delivery time, etc.). I'm interested in getting some for my bike and others may be as well.

Thanks,

.
Bill,

Thanks for the link and that's just what I'm looking for....just not for $160 USD. I think that's what the cost converts to. I would think that someone out there has them for less. Thanks for the help though!

Jason
Just ordered the full set from RG. Fork protectors, frames and swing arm. Looks like well made items and install should be a breeze.
Frame sliders are for people who like to slam their bike on the ground alot.
I don't get it. How do you order this item? there is no add to cart button ... Do I need to sign up first?

How much did the whole thing cost you and which part numbers did you order?
R&G Racing dude, the best! :)

Have a look at my writeup about the (almost) full R&G kit I put on my bike. 22yellow has got the same kit as does Nick M. :)

As to availability in the US, I don't know, sorry. I think there must be someone who imports them, and/or you can order them from the R&G website.
Just ordered a set of R&G frame, fork and swing arm sliders from EMA. Sent them an email asking the best way to order from them, they stated that they didn't have a secure internet site and to call them or email a number and they would call me. Seems like a good group of people that have KR parts in stock, which is a change for a US based company. I will post pictures of the sliders once they get here and I get them installed. Stay safe.

DITTO
Also ordered R&G

I also ordered a full set of R&G. Hope to install them next weekend.

Cheers,

Installation was a breeze on everything but the right slider. You will need a small 8mm closed end wrench to loosen the retaining bolt so that you can reverse the spacer. Besides that, straight bolt on's.

ya doing great!...if you are ever near lafayette La, look me up!
Now knock the bike over and let us know if they work :D

Seriously, you figured out how to post pics you're a better man than I.

Cheers
DOes anyone know f the aluminum style ones you see on jap bikes can be used, are they usually a standard size? I really like the look of the ones I have seen on Kaw and Suz Thanks
Okay I am not sure I understand which is which

I am looking at this link somewhat posted

http://www.ema-usa.com/misc/R&G/misc_r_g_bmw.shtml

But I don't know which parts to order especially since I can't find pix. Is there any place you can actually order these online ?
The best thing to do if you want to see a picture of the product is to look at the official RG site. EMA's website isn't the best but the price's are worth the extra few minutes of searching the web. Check out the attached link if you need any other pictures.

As for using other sliders like on a Kaw or Suzuki, I don't believe that they will work. The RG's have spacers to replace the stock pieces and the other sliders that I have seen simply have a bolt and the slider itself. There maybe something out there but I couldn't find it.

The one thing to remember with EMA is this, you have to call to order because they do not have a secure website. Nice guy's to work with and I received prompt service. IE, I got my stuff when they said I would. Hope this helps.
