Ok, ok now that I have your attention. True story. Took the beast out for a ride today and yup, there is was, a Silver/Gray Hayabusa parked on the side of the road. Not broken down, but the rider was just putting on his helmet. I zoomed past and just left him there . . . IN THE DUST! Of course he never even started his engine yet.

Ok, a crummy story . . . but let's get this thing goin' again.

Just what we need to get the heh heh community going again! 1. Slow speed weave (learn to live with it, don't go slow). 2. Irregular idle (don't idle). 3. Wears out tires too fast! (Get a Burgman). 4. Transmission clunks 1-3 (So what).

Gee, just like old home week.

By the way, I found my tranny only clunks going in to first, just like my Harleys did only not as bad. If you shift quickly into the other gears, no problem.

Motociclismo, a Spanish monthly magazine has done a shoot-out between: A pre-production K1200S, Yamaha´s FRJ 1300, Kawasaki´s ZZR 1200, Suzuki´s Hayabusa and the Honda CBR 1000RR (Fireblade) on the Isle of Man. BMW received the highest ratings of 8.2 and is considered superior to the rest in sport as well as comfort.

K1200S leads the way?

Motorcycle News (UK) did a similar test on the Isle of Mann and came up with the same result a few months ago... made a few folk think twice when MCN had the K1200S picture and suitable slogan on the front page... leaving the so called best from Japan, in the shade. It was actually a fair and balanced report, not the usual BMW bashing the motorcycle press love to dish out.

Heck, I forgot all about my first bike, an HD Road King. Clunks were de rigueur on the thing. After awhile, like the 12S, don't even notice it. BTW, I think it was Catatafish that recommended shifting over 6000 rpm . . . I would be getting too many tickets leaving my neighborhood. But, all kidding aside, clunking diminishing with miles! Now if I could get just get rid of chicken strips!!!
