I generally do my own maintenance on my bikes but the last final drive oil change was done by the dealer. It was due again, changed it this morning and the fluid came out milky brown. I flushed with it with 200 ml of clean fluid. Filled it back up, put everything together and went for a 120 mile ride in the mountains. Everything seems fine.

Anybody seen light brown fluid being used at dealers?

Any ideas?

Not sure on the dealers choice of fluids, but most are usually semi clear. Usually milky oil is a result of water contamination. As long as it seems good now and there was no metal in the oil and no leaks, you should be fine.

Shouldn't be milky, I don't think, but as said above, all you can do is change it for fresh oil and maybe check it again in a month to see if it is still clean and peachy.
