Yes, sorry, thought it was common practice. Most of the new BMWs intensionally have a significant gap of air in the top of the tank. A totally filled tank can overflow a little, filling the charcoal canister, as the fuel changes from below ground temp (<50) to small vessel in the sun temp (80++). BUT its a bunch of additional gas. So if you don't fill to the brim then leave the bike (if you fill then ride) you'll be fine.GillyWI said:Drill the filler neck?
