I'm having a hell of a time installing new break shoes on the kbike, I create the "V" that is stated in the book but I feel like it will take huge amount of force to press the "V" flat. I've always stuck to the "if you have to force it something is wrong" philosophy when wrenching on bikes. Do any of you have any tricks or tips for me? Thanks in advance.

forgot to mention that it isn't the K75s that I own but a friends bike with rear drum brakes.

Thanks everyone for all your help :dunno: Turns out that the spring holes on the EMC shoes are further out than stock. This requires a preload on the springs that is too much to do by hand. Back to the drawing board or find new springs. The shoes FYI do not come with new springs.
