I bought the side cases and mounting bar and all the hardware to install them.
Question: I would like to install these myself as it looks easy enough (4 bolts to mount the bar and some others like the mushroom bolt etc. Is this easy enough or is it better left to the dealer? Looks like an easy 1or 2 hr max job, no?
Would like feedback form someone who installed them on their own.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Manfred, that was the reply I was hoping to hear. I do have the instructions and they seem very simple. Will post pics when done. This place really rocks. Everytime I asked for info on our bikes (be it the RS, GT and now the S), there is always someone here that has the right answer/solution.

For attaching the brackets on the bottom of each pannier, I suggest you get help from another person. Get in the screws, but do not tighten them. Then attach the pannier to the holder and to the mushroom bolt. Push the bracket down to the holder and the pannier up to the bolt as firmly as you can (1st person) and tighten the screws (2nd person). Watch for the bracket to be aligned to the rips of the pannier. That's all.

Just wanted to thank you Manfred for the tips on the case mount/panier install.
Took me about 45 mins as I was alone and that bottom bracket (with the 2 screws) that mounts on to the paniers was a bit tricky. Otherwise, they lined up perfectly with the mounting bar on the bike. Saved me at least $75. if not more from having it done at the dealership.
