List of Great Riding Roads?

I don't know if this has already been developed but each of us have some special roads we love to ride near our homes and I would like to yours. I try to do a long trip each year and would like to ride your road(s). Maybe I could set the whole trip of riding favorite roads, what a trip that would be!
I have Streets and Trips and Garmin software or a written description of the routes/rides would do, so send me your favorite routes/rides please. Please don't forget to tell me where to EAT and VISIT!
My favorite ride near my home in West Tennessee is the Mississippi River Trail (MRT) it runs along the Mississippi River between Memphis and Tiptonville. Some parts of the Trail are on top of the main line Mississippi River levee and along the river bluffs.
Places to stop, eat and visit: In Tiptonville, Boyettes-family style catfish and Flippins-homemade fried pies to order (original maker of fried pies), visit the Parks Ranger station-get in cage with bald eagle and pet the snakes. In Memphis, Rendezvous for dry ribs, desert at the Peabody and tour Beale Street.
Looking forward to hearing about your favorites.

There is a web site "motorcycleroads.us" that lists good riding roads by state, and rates them on a three tiered scale. I have found it very interesting and helpful!

US Route 191 in Eastern Arizona between Morenci and Springerville - 500 turns in 100 miles. If you go fast it will take 3 hours to run. The worlds largest open-pit copper mine is a few miles north of Morenci. There's a viewing area about 100 feet off the road with a parking lot. Near the northern end stop at Hannagan Meadow. There is no gas in the 100 mile stretch so fill up at before you start. Pics at http://www.azbeemers.org/forum/index.php?topic=52.0
Thanks. Any eating places?
Robert,
There's an excellent family-owned Mexican (New Mexican cuisine actually) restaurant called Los Dos Molinos. It's well-known in the Phoenix area among Mexican food aficionados. The original location is at the north end of Rt 191 in Springerville. You can tell them how hot (spicy) you want the food but if you order it "hot" it will make your eyes water.
Thanks for the heads up. I just plotted the Phoenix, Payson, Show Low,Egar, Clifton, Peridet Loop for a spring ride destination.
I recommend running 191 from south to north (uphill). I've done it in both directions. A nice, clean place to stay is

Best Western Sunrise Inn
128 N. Main Street
Eager, AZ 85925
928-333-2540

It's 1/2 block north of route 260 which takes you to Show Low. 260 is much more scenic that 60. There's a supermarket next to the motel.

also a fellow BMW rider owes the little motel in Alpine on the main drag, only one on the main road I think. Nice guy, clean rooms, tho older and a bit spartan. Family owed eating joint right around the corner. Wish I remembered the names of the places but Alpine is small, only 2 or 3 motels not hard to find! Also a local told me they scoop up 1 or 2 bikes a week off the side of 191 each week. Be carefull out there!

Alpine, AZ

I recomend 191 as well, its beautiful and fun to ride. We stayed in Alpine two nights and enjoyed listening to the Elk call one another. The " Mountain Hi Lodge " is where we stayed ( 928 ) 339-4311, Rex & Jenni. Its like going back in time and it was clean.
Best place to eat ( walking distance ) for breakfast or dinner is " Bear Wallow Cafe " on main street ( 928 ) 339-4310. They have everything from oatmeal to steaks. You will enjoy yourself.
We also jumped over to NM for a very nice loop ( 180 ).

I would go back in a heart beat,

Wow, we've stayed there! Walked to the Arby's and back to some ice cream place from the Best Western.

Anyone travelling east from there heading toward Alamagordo - don't stay there. Go up 82 to Cloudcroft. 9,000 feet elevation and cool compared to the desert. We stayed at The Lodge. The piano player at dinner asked if anyone had request. Pillion asked him to play some John Lee Hooker. We had on tee shirts in a shirt and tye setting. The piano player was pleased to ablidge. :)
