Depending where you're coming from and the type of riding you're looking for I can suggest a few routes in PA and WV. In WV, look at a map and see where Elkins is. Any of the roads in the interior of WV will give you very scenic and very technical riding. Route 39, 43, 606, any of the roads are compairable to the famed DRAGON. These are just a few. In and around the town of BATH there are some great rodes to ride aggresively. In PA, depending if you are in the western part. There is not the technical rodes that WV has but there are some very scenic areas in Tionesta area, Marianville, RT 6 across the entire east/west corridor. In the far eastern area you have the rodes around WELLSBORO. Great little town, Good food and nice rodes. Cental PA. around the area of Dubois, Bennezette, St. Mary's heading east from there you could look at Williams Port and Lewisburg. All great little towns with a lot of charactor and history. Some good riding in the State College area.
Just got back from a wonderful ride along the North side of Tennesee on the way to Front Royal Virginia where Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park starts. Speed limit is 35 all the way through the park and no radar detectors allowed in VA so it was a slow 110 miles but the scenery is wonderful. Everytime we pushed 35 up to 45 a park ranger would come around the corner. On the way saw a State Park called Hungry Mother State Park and going in to the park is Highway 16.......check it out, it is a great motorcycle road that I have not heard anyone talk about.
Just sold a bike that's been part of my life for the last 30 plus years. It use to belong to friend. It was his pride and joy that ended up neglected and sad. I rescued it out of a storage locker that he was going to let go after running off to Alaska.
It took over 5 years just to find all of...
Well … trip done, just shy of 1500 miles and everyone, except for the motorway slogs, a joy.
The weather Gods were mostly kind :)

After my exploits in Peru last summer, and finding myself on a package holiday on the east coast of Mexico, I thought it might be an idea to visit the world heritage Mayan site of Chichen Itza on a hired motorcycle, rather than in an air-conditioned...

The omens were not good. The Ducati coughed into life, immediately emitting a small cloud of oil smoke from around the crankcase - and then spat a screw-bolt out onto the tarmac with an air of...
