Nice catch! You want the Pilot Roads C2. The Powers are for a sports bike and will wear out faster on our bikes-also notice different tread design-much more aggressive on the Powers. I'm going to order a set for my GT. :teeth

I had a pair of PP2CTs installed last Spring at a rally in Texas. I got 1000 miles on them there, and 1800miles on the way back. They look great, and I just might leave them on for this year's trip to TX. That's asking for another 5000 miles from them on an RS. I'm easy on tires. Sounds impossible, doesn't it?

But here's what you want to know: THEY STICK LIKE GLUE!!

Nice and sporty but how do you think they will do in the rain. Looks like a fair weather tread to me, no?

Michelin do not exactly make life easy for themselves,both the Road 02 is call a 2CT and so is the Pilot Power,there is also a single compound Pilot Power.

The Pilot Power 2CT is a dual compound sports tyre,the Road 02 2CT is a dual compound Sports touring tyre.

The Pilot Power 2CT wear well for a sports tyre,not as good as a Road 02 2CT.

I have Pilot Power 2CT's on my K,Road 02 2CT's on my Supermoto Tiger and Dunlop Road Smarts on an 1100s,the Road Smarts turn quicker.

I'll jump in this post for a sec....I like Michelins, dad was a Michelin dealer....so!

Anyhow last year I got some very good milleage out of a set of PRs, they however wore a little flat from heat and slabbing. I am switching to PR2 this year, according to all the reports I have seen, very good milleage and excellent in the rain.

For the "sportier" riders a combination of rear PR2/front Power apparently works pretty good! :ricky

What I haven't figured out is if all the PR2 are "Load rated B" or if they do make them in "Load rating A"......! None of the online suppliers, or even Michelin, seems to mention that, and yes it is important as BMW themselves recommend "B" on them heavy bikes.

Any info on that? :thumb:

I just went through a set of PP2's: 6200mi off the rear, and a little over 3000mi off the fronts! I have a K13S and there are an awful lot of open highways in this area of the state I must travel regularly... seldom under 70mph. The PP2 front cupped badly due to high speed braking while leaned over and had to dump it. The rear actually held up much better than expected considering the PP2's were ridden much harder than the OEM Conti SA's. The Power2's are significantly more sticky than PR2's, which are super tires. I also run twisty back roads through the forests and farmlands which is where the sticky PP2's shine.

To the one above, the PP2's do quite well in the rain.

Unless you ride your heavier K-GT's like sportbikes, I'd recommend PR2's. Had a set of those on an R12 and got fantastic durability and were excellent in rain. I'd like to try a set of PR2's on the K13S, but Mich doesn't make a 190/55 rear in that line.

Had pilot roads two compound as last set, went 9500 miles but wore the left side to the cords due to cornering and road crown. I recommend them as the center is hard for milage and the sides stick like glue.
