For the last year he has been wanting a bike and finally bought a used 1200 with the ugly sticky out the side cylinders but he is happy UNTIL he could not wait to ride it before him or the bike was legal.
He lives in the boonies and never sees a cop on them roads UNTIL fe took his short ride and had the road side chat with a state trooper. The trooper was also a biker and understood the need and excitement to get a new toy out before the legalities were taken care of so he gave the boss his choice of 85 in a 55 or no ins, no mc qualification on his license, non-licensed bike. He told the boss that an ins card dated for the day he bought the bike would take care of that in court with a small fine, licensing the bike before court will take of that with a small fine and to make sure he is mc qualified before court and there should be no points assessed.

Everything is done except for the mc endorsement and that is because his town does not have license testing for mc so he had to get an appointment for the one here by work and bring his neighbors dirtbike in his truck to take the test. He did get a permit so he could ride back and forth to work.

Hmmm that seems a convuluted set of events to work out right. Over here the date and time of being stopped would be the starting point for any offences, not whether you got things right before court or not. Lets say with no ins. He killed somebody. He could not then go and get ins. expecting them to pay the familly for the death of their loved one. Things seem to work different in different locals.

So, we learned that even if you hardly ever saw a cop in your local, the day they might send one he would be ambitious to make the most of his infrequent visit, particularly if you were riding an interesting (to him) bike.

Good tale.
