Mystery Pin

Good morning! I hope this is the proper spot to post this. Working on my ‘06 K1200GT. I have a chewed up lower cam chain rail. I have the clutch cover off to pick out the bits and pieces and this little fella dropped out. It doesn’t appear to be damaged or worn - so that’s good - I guess. But what is it??
