Anyone else planning to spend some time at the NEC show this year? I'm going on Sunday 30th October.

I'm hoping to get a ride on a 'Blade or an R1 just to see if they're as uncomfortable as my Mille was. I'd never trade the K12 but who knows? Maybe a track-bike ... and a divorce soon after!

I think BMW are going to show their neew F800 parallel twin and (possibly) the new R1200S with the GS motor in it.

Not on this occasion JJ. Have quite a lot on and would only manage a run down the road, quick visit then run back. No doubt the weather will not be too good and the thought of 720 miles in the rain on the likes of the M6, does more than counterbalance the thought of 4 or 5 hours walking round the NEC (not to mention the £70 in fuel, plus entrance, plus food etc... see, the true Scot coming out here;) ).

Local BMW dealer is running a trip (by coach), but I am not free that date (sod's law). Anyway I hope you enjoy the show.... take some photos then post them on the forum?

We're going today. I.F.M.R. brunch at Wythall and then the rest af the day at the show.
Going by car I'm afraid as we want to buy some gear but if I feel it's worth it, I may go on the bike on Sunday.

One of the Scottish members of the ZZR site says that rather than go to the NEC he's going to the Milan show which I think is in about 2 weeks time. Apparently you can get a return fair on one of the cheapo airlines for just over £20 and entrance to the Milan show is a lot less than the £15 they charge you to get into the NEC.
