Looking at a 02 k12rs that was a buyback from the original owner for electrical issues which focused around the cruise control not working properly. BMWNA bought it back and replaced the battery, alternator, cruise control and found a rubbing issue with the wiring harness and replace. Bike only has 3200 miles. YOUR OPINIONS on the worthiness of this bike would be appreciated

If you still get the 36mo/36000mi warranty I'd say go for it. The price should be right on the bike and with what's been done to it the problem should be fixed. If you get full warranty you'll have BMW fixing any problem that might arise. If you buy the bike right and then run into a problem with it, you can sell it right and walk away from it.

Cruise control was the only issue? Just curious, as the buyback stories I've read here are usually multiple issues causing the bike to be in the service facility more than in the customers hands. Any chance you can contact the prior owner and ask? Otherwise, if that's all that was wrong with the bike, and it's all fixed, just go for the rest of the warranty; may consider getting an extended one (see if they're selling or can't offer it). And, of course, that the price is right.
