Looking out my 3rd story window in Reno, some guy and his wife ride up on their Harley. They park 3 stalls away from mine.

After he unpacks, he sets the alarm on his Harley which flashes the turn signals and chirps.

My remote Scorpio fob is next to me upstairs in this motel so I reset mine which chirps 6 times and flashes some LED side markers I added for the alarm. He looks at my bike and disables his alarm which I do to mine as well. He points to my bike showing his wife his alarm sets off mine.

As he walks towards mine I put it in full siren mode. He backs off, fumbles with his fob so I shut mine off. :rotf:

He fumbles again setting his and I sent full siren again. He finally shrugged his shoulders and him and his wife went into the casino next door. When he got to the sidewalk, I shut mine off. He just looked back and stared. :wtf:

I don't know if it's worth $1200 worth of funny, but it sure helps!

I have a strange suspicion I could have kept him out there much longer. I need to adjust my style of arming and disarming the alarm around the Harley guys. I'll get my $1200 of amusement out of them somehow - even if I have to park the GT near them to mess with them at their dealer or eating hangout.

Fwiw, one time at the Harley dealer I came out and disarmed it. It chirps once. Some lady thought it was a big green bug on the sidewalk that did it and screamed aloud about the bug chirping at her. His riding buddy just commented, "At least she's riding with you."

Must be something going on around Reno. A lot of trailers with Harley's on them, and some covered so they don't get dirty or hide the fact it's being trailered. There was some "Run-a-Mucca in Winnemucca" rally last weekend. Maybe they are homebound. I can't bag on them too much because one double-parked and ran over to assist me getting mine uprighted. Damn GT's are heavy and that back-into-it-plan didn't budge it, more likely just added to the scratches.

Sierra BMW was really great to deal with. They are going to send me all of my parts and they should be there when I get back home.
