I posted this before the new site was up, I guess it never made it over. Thanks for the repost - I was going to get around to it.

He ownes about 20 or so bikes. His appt. is over 5000 square feet. We scuffed up the floor and rug rolling the K into his pad and he couldn't care less plus he plans on riding it "in" his appt. one day - he's an interesting cat to say the least.

Wow. I wonder why he didn't choose the new MV for his centerpiece? Why waste $18k when you can waste $42k! Reminds me of the movie where the character purchased fine art, looked at it, then burned it.

He's gonna ride it in his apartment one day? Amazing.
He doesn't sound interesting, just bored and self absorbed. I've known lots of collectors over the years, some with as many as 200+ Ferrarie's, and they're all about as dull as old beer. I've known em all. It's probably good for the rest of us the K is in the apartment and not on the road!

Anyway, it's interesting to see what people call cool.

A saddle eh? Maybe he's got a horse in there somewhere. In any case, I'm just jealous.

But whenever someone tells me how good I've got it and says stuff like, "Just think about all those hurricane victims or homeless people" I think about guys like this. "How good you got it" is so relative and compared to this guy, we're homeless; so, I don't feel too bad for those less fortunate than me...unless of course they don't have a motorcycle at all. Then I get weepy.

Sorry, I just keep coming back to that one word: 'Why?' All the money in the world doesn't answer it ... but perhaps a good therapist might!

I'm no expert but I'd say that $18k is a relatively inexpensive line item on a decorator's bill in this neighborhood...I like his imagination.

I'm surprised that Shiva didn't take the picture of himself pushing the bike to add to his collection of "action shots." After all, it's probably moving faster in that hallway than it ever would with him in the saddle on the streets, judging by the riding skill presented in his pictures.

It's a great feeling to be able to say things without worrying about being censored.

However it's not cool to constantly bad mouth someone, over and over and over again. It's amazing how you throw your negative $0.02 in whenever his name is raised. Dude, let it go,,, let it go.

Hey T, it may have been a little negative, but you gotta admit, it was funny. The "action shot" part made me laugh, the other part was sort of petty and lame. Besides, Shiva can ride and he knows it, as do others here, so maybe it's just a little crankiness on KL's part. You know how boys can be when they need a nap.

The thing about having THIS bike in your living room is it's not a collectible. If he had some pre-war era BMW on display I don't think there would be the negative reaction.

Any rare or restored or significant bike would be a different story. Also, the K12 he's got has a Remus pipe on it so it's not even a stock machine.

You can always tell a true collector by the exhaust he installs. Imagine bringing home a great painting and deciding you wanted a little extra blue in the background?

He should at least dump one of those worn out chaise lounges and put the K where it belongs, ON DISPLAY, not against a wall.
