Would there be any interest in meeting for breakfast at Mothers Kitchen the first sat of every month? It's a nice little restaurant at the top of palomar mountain that opens around 8:30AM. The key to this adventure is to get there early enough to miss all the squids.

The restaurant is located at the Summit of Palomar Mountain at the junction of Highways S6 and S7.

It's been my experience that weekends on that road are dangerous. Too much traffice, lots of squids and other social miscreants that make riding that mountain road too dangerous for my taste. Maybe I just haven't made it there early enough.

Untrue. I've been riding over Mt. P every other weekend all summer. If you get there before 9am, you'll probably not see another bike to the top. The squids sleep in.

I would like to meet there for breakfast any weekend that I don't have the kids. I can't haul a 5 yr old boy and 20 month old girls on the back (yet!).

Breakfast at Mother's This Sunday

Gonna fly to Mother's for Breakfast this Sunday from the OC. Should be there before 9am. Going via Ortega Hwy and S16 to Pala for refuel then up the twisties. Meet me for breakfast or along the way.

I have to agree with the others... I ride Palomar frequently, and the secret is to arrive early. Also, Saturdays are generally less congested.
