Hey all - I am in Northern Cali and have a 2003 K1200 GT that is in good condition - thinking of selling it, to make room for something else. It is fairly low mileage, around 25k, I ride it occasionally in rotation with a couple of other bikes. I have the hard bags and a cover - it has been maintained, ridden, and enjoyed but still has lots of good miles left. What do people typically ask/get for these and what is the best way to sell it? I don't want a parade of craigslist weirdos and prefer not to use those mass market wholesale sites that will low ball me. Any advice?

Nice looking bike. That year has the dreaded servo brakes and it is older ready for some larger maintenance. It is worth what you can sell it for. I suggest you start at about $3200. Be happy with the first offer.

I have a similar one - Grey Green - right at 50,000 miles -- Purchased used for $4,000 in 2012 --have well over $3000.00 into it for service and parts. (All service is up to date). If I were to sell it I would be happy to get the $3000.00+ back. I like mine and I am going to keep it. I think they are fine bikes -- but they are over 17 years old. Computer search of average prices shows New $17,990 // current selling prices $2,245 to $2,955

The 24K service on that bike is like $1500+,
an educated buyer will want to see the service bill.

if you can get $3000 be happy.
