I second the leave it alone advice. I have repaired one (friends bike), installing a metal female quick connect. I strengthened the boss with a collar. But I did this because it already was leaking. My own, I left alone because it wasn't leaking. I have replaced, as Beech said, the male quick connect with a metal one. This is an easier proceedure. Just don't cut the old one off, there isn't much leeway on the fuel line.
If your female one is sound, and by looking at the pictures, it looks like they did a robust job with araldite, then I'd leave it be.
