I'm thinking of doing a Pacific Coast Highway ride in March or April...is that too early? Or just right? I'd probably ride from San Fran south...

Any tips?

Thanks in advance!

It could be a little cool or foggy up north. Snow and ice should not be a problem. Go for it. Currently they are having a drought but that could change. Most likely good weather for riding.

I ride PCH all the time. The weather very similar year round. The best riding is between Cambria and Monterey. PM me for details.

Thanks!

It looks like I'll be doing it in April, going to tag it on the back end of a working trip.

April would be a good month. Make SURE you bring your liner or heated gear. It can cold, damp or wet when the fog rolls in and you can freeze your arse off quickly. The ride between Monterey and Cambria on PCH is the best stretch in SoCal for sure. I have probably done it at least 25-30 times in the last 15 years. There are some great roads off it as well such as G16 out of Carmel or Nacimiento Rd. thru Fort Hunter/Liggett Reservation.
