Hello people, Dave here from the UK just signing in. Been "lurking" for a few days now and decided to take the plunge!
Just bought 1998 K1200RS and boy, do I have some questions to ask. Very impressed with the bike up to press, but, there are a number of nigling little thing I need to address before I can take it with any confidence, any distance. Please be kind to me as I'm a bit of a virgin at the net palava !

So here's a pic of the old girl....

Welcome to the site. Great bike! Looks like my 2002 RS. Loved that everything about that bike other than the seat. Had to swap that out! Always wound up sitting on my boys! :yeow: There is a wealth of knowledge here.

New jokes eh ?

Thanks for the welcome guy's.

New jokes required then?

Well maybe not so much a joke but an observation then....

A new council tax re-evaluation policy wants to charge us more if we live in a nice area.

That ought to mean discounts for those of us who live in rough areas. There is a huge council house in our street, the extended family is run by a grumpy old woman with a pack of fierce dogs.

Her car isn't taxed or insured and doesn't even have a number plate, but the police still do nothing.

Her bad-tempered old man is notorious for racist comments.

All their kids have broken marriages except the youngest, who everyone thought was gay.

Two grandsons are meant to be in the Army but are always out partying in nightclubs.

They are out of control.

I hate living near Windsor Castle. :rotf:
