Hi Guys...

My seat heat switch under the seat seems to be coming on whenever it feels like it.
Don't know if it's a short, or it's getting compressed and hitting.

Anyone else have this issue... any solutions?

I'm going to take it to the Dealer because it's still under warranty, but I thought I would see if anyone else had this happen?

THX!

Ronnie

Heating switch under the seat? Is this an older brick RS/GT?

In any case, you can at least unplug the seat heater until the dealer can look at it. :)

Hey Ken, nice new avatar. Didn't know you were a fan. I've got 2 more of their shows coming up at the end of this month. That will be #'s 34 and 35 going all the way back to Hemispheres. Taking the wife this time and can't decide whether or not I want to be 2 up on the bike for a couple of shows at the end of the night fighting traffic.

BTW, If you like that avatar, I made this one a while back.

Yeah, big fan from way back, when I had to read the lyrics with a dictionary open. ;) I'd love to just poke around in Neil's brain for a while, or ride between shows with him and Bruno.

Robert, I enjoyed your Rush ride report and thought of you at the show. I guess I really need to check out Porcupine Tree.

The guy next to me asked who was my favorite? I just looked at him and said "all of them." :D

YYZED - what an awesome plate. I once argued with a girl in high school who told me her boyfriend wanted to put XYZ on his plates. I kept saying he's a drummer, right? Then you mean YYZ but she didn't get it. They broke up and she was cute so we went out anyway. ;)

But I have to admit, I "borrowed" the avatar from someone on another forum. It seemed to fit my passion for the band and my frustration with BMW. Love the bikes - hate the company. In fact, I may just have that airbrushed onto the roundels on my bike. :)

What was this thread about again? :D

OK, were off topic but summers coming anyway so a heated seat, or unplugging one, won't be much of a problem for a while. :)

Geez Ken, they were just in your neck of the woods.....did you go? You could always make a road trip up to Portland at the end of the month, or WA too and then over to MT. Couple of concerts, a bike trip......;)

Yes, Porcupine Tree....definitely! Start with: In Absentia, Deadwing, and Fear of a Blank Planet. Then move on to some of the more obscure stuff.

Also if you're a fan of better "progressive" music, though I hate the label "prog", an absolutely fantastic album is Milliontown by Frost . Bar none the best new find out of any genre that I have acquired in a LONG time.

If you like this stuff let me know, I've got hundreds more great suggestions. If you're anything like me your taste in audio equipment should be as good as your taste in bikes. If you have a good system those albums will make it shine. Top notch engineering, sound, and musicianship throughout.

I know just the guy to do it. And he even has roundels, so you just send him yours when he's done.
Tempting . . . though it would be more fun to deliver them myself. Or you could, I suppose. :)

Rush, or PT? Actually, I'll be spending most of the summer in Portland on a job. I may have to swing over to Montana one of these weekends. :)

Sorry, I'd already posted about the L.A. show, but that was in a different bike forum. Too many websites to keep up with. :D

It was an absolutely awesome show, and my friend managed to score pit tickets so I was >this close< to Geddy, with a great view of Neil and Alex. :yeah: But I didn't manage to hook up with Neil and his GS on my ride home. :ricky :( ;)

"What's that Smell?" :rotf:

I almost got the Henhouse shirt that Geddy threw, but it tipped off my fingers and my buddy caught it. No biggie, as he's as big a fan as I am.

They did The Trees and Natural Science which were awesome live. Plus a few old favorites. They did an hour and a half set, took a break, then came back for almost two full hours. So they were their own opening band. :D

I have seen Rush since I was a peewee. First tour I saw was Moving Pix tour (Meese got me on longevity there) and I have been thrilled by 100s of Rush shows since. That said, I kinda felt the boys mailed in the last tour (Snakes and Arrows) and played far too much off the new album which really didnt spawn anything radioworthy, with the exception of "Workin them Angels" Not that I didnt enjoy every stinkin second of the show...just a bit disappointed I guess. Cleve was near the end of the tour and you could sense they were a bit burned out - a shame.
Now, Porc. Tree has been exceptional the last 3 times I saw them. Gavin plays drums like a man possessed, and they are as tight as could be. Im thoroughly impressed by these fellas, they are a real talent. For you drumming fans, check out Gavins DVD's (Rhythmic Visions and Rhythmic Perspectives) on his drum methods...they are mindblowing. I have played drums nearly 35 years and Gavin's methods are thrilling (if not impossible to the layman drummer) - I could only dream of having his talent.
QUick note, Gavin will be touring with King Crimson this summer (3 shows I think, NYC, Chicago and Philly???)
