I removed my 05 Servo Assisted Brakes and installed the newer gen. I-ABS2 system.

Project is done.

I-ABS 2 + ASC works now in my 2005 K1200s.

Cool Breeze. I have non-servo ABS on mine which I am led to believe is far more trouble free.

I did this mod to see how far I can push my knowledge on the bike and to see if it can be done.
But let me tell you, it was a hell of a learning experience.
I can't say anything in regards to reliability, hence my Servo Assisted Brake system didn't fail......
But at least I will have brakes now, if the ABS unit craps itself.

Interesting stuff. No matter what way one goes, replacing a failed abs unit is expensive.

This doesn't look cheap either. Might take a bit more knowledge that the average rider?
