Hi,
I will replace the final drive’s oil soon.

Watching lots of videos, everyone re-greases the finger where the shaft joint articulation connects.

But, what about the joint articulation itself??? No one does it.
No need to grease it or what???

They are not serviceable. Flex them in all directions and see if there is any knotchy feel. If so, it is done. Some of the GS shafts are rebuilt by A california shop. There might be a good shop that can insert new bearings but it is not common, worth asking aroun there in Japan. Then you have the middle joint of the two halves that is a vulcanized "rubber" joint that can fail from old age. At some point it is good to replace the unit. I have a couple used but good units on the shelf. New ones are expensive.
