I replaced the plugs on my '03 GT today. It had Bosch dual-electrode plugs in it, and I replaced them with the same.

I noticed the electrodes have rounded edges. Was I supposed to use a special feeler gauge or gapping tool, or is it OK to use a regular, flat feeler gauge, which would set the center of the electrode > .8 mm?

Thanks in advance.

you need to use one of the wire loop gauges, and wiggle it in there.....supposedly the plugs are pre-gapped, esp if you get them from a BMW stealership.....I checked the gap on my original plugs last year and they were all pretty good - barely off........can't hurt to check though
