Good morning gentlemen,
I'd once read about a starting problem. Author stated that headlight didn't come on when ignition key turned and bike failed to start, but could be push started.
A respondent stated it was a (relay,,,,, or something) problem a few had experienced. Like an idiot I failed to write this info down and opted for my memory to hold the information. Obviously, I failed.
Any ideas guys?

I know the early RS models up to 2002 had starter relay issues, but was pretty much solved with the 2002 and up models. My2002 has 117K on the clock with no issues. I'm not saying it's NOT a relay but it might be unlikely. So your headlamp does not come on with the key? The headlamp will go out as you crank the starter.
