Just came back from three weeks in Europe. Thought i might shares some pictures. The first week i had a K1200GT and then planned to exchange for a K1200LT when my wife joined me. The bike shop in Weisbaden sold the LT. So, they called a honda shop and arranged a 1800 wing . It was ok but a brute in the alps. Anyways still did a total of 5300 kilometers in the three weeks.

Was around the Alps (mainly Austria and its borders) from 19th September to 2nd October. Great trip... 2422 miles on my K1200S.

I know how you must feel... great biking territory.

But then again one of the two countries I have always wanted to visit is Canada... but I doubt I will be biking when I visit (the "boss" no longer likes biking so it would not be fair on her).

I have some of my pictures on my MSN Space http://spaces.msn.com/members/ren157/
...but you will have to be logged into MSN to access the space.

Glad you enjoyed your trip, the photos look good.

I am envious of you both!!! I would love to travel on a bike, however I dont have anyone who would ride with me. I live in USA Florida, but I would love to go back home to canada and tour on a bike or go over seas to Scotland. I love both of your photos. Enjoy retirement rlmr

thanks, real nice pictures..and I do think you had a nice trip...personally I love the Alpine region...and especially Lombardy of Italy...

@k-434
actually we have for two years in a row tried to get along a European-trip, both in liue of I-BMW, but in vain...a lot of interest..but going down 'hard' none..none at all wanted to join..some of us from I-BMW, living in Europe.. got together this summer and went to Italy....so we have tried it..believe me....but none from over-seas..;)

Personally I am not 'settled yet' with next years trip, but Spain is eminent once again in my thoughts...so if the month of May...may soon come, I'm off...for a month....and hopefully on those magnificent plains of Andalucia..in the south of Spain...;)

Don't bemoan the fact you don't have anyone to ride with you. Get yourself an Edelweiss Catalog, then pick a place and head out! I was lucky enough to get to ride on their Dolomites Tour last year and although my wife didn't go along, I had the absolute best riding time of my life. Glad she wasn't there anyway, it was too dangerous at times for me to have felt good about having her along. We were headquartered in Ortesei/ St. Ulrich, Italy each night, not too far from Innsbruck, and rode a new loop every day. I met some great people and so was never lonely. Get out there while you're young enough to enjoy it.
