Does anyone know where the VIN # is on the frame? The People at the DMV spent 20 minutes searching for it and still coudn't find it.

LOL - i had the same thing when i got my GS. When i had my K registered, I took it to AAA
instead. they didn't even bother looking at the VIN or engine number. they have also been reaaaaly helpful as i purchased the bike on a power of attorney (seller was not in a state to sell anymore).


I think its underneath the seat.

Ok..I saw the one under the seat. DMV personel said that was a federal sticker and that there is supposed to be two VIN #'s one under the seat and one etched into the frame somewhere. Now I have to 'check in' with the CHP and have them verify the bike's VIN. Oh what fun. Then back to the f*&k%$g DMV to get my plate. I can't believe they have to go to those kinds of lengths to combat theft and fraud.
