Hi
Im new here so greetings to everyone. O owned few K bikes but my trip bike is K1200RS lovely ones
1997 140000km. I had a battery issue, just suddenly dies while driving, looks like cell colapse. Changed for new and all works flawessly. I checked and loading voltage is 13,4-13,5V is that ok? I was thinking about voltage regulator change but have no idea how to do it without disassembling to many parts??? Alternator is hiden but I do get the info that it is a possibility to change regulator somehow in easy way.
The reason why I want to change regulator is because I do not want any surprises on the road after so huge mileage and also because lately I see charging warning light that goes off (while started) when I accelrate. That happens only ones. Please help in that matter.

300,000kms on mine.Charges at ~13.5V so normal.Odyssey battery PC680 is now 11yrs old and ~260K.Always show full charge when I loadtest it.

No easy way to replace the regulator.Frame has to be lifted.

Should be charging at 14 or 14.2 volts while running. Be sure to check that your alternator is okay, not just your regulator.
