Which Windscreen???

I am looking to buy a windscreen for my 98 K1200RS to use in the winter to try and keep as much wind off of me as possible given the 30 degree days I'll be riding in. One of the wind screens I'm considering is the BMW Comfort Screen. Your suggestions are appreciated. Thanks again.

da screen

get the parabellum +4" travel screen for winter. pop it off in spring. it is simply the best!
Keeping the BMW look and windshield not the size of movie screens, I replaced my RS with the GT screen. It's a +3 and the price was right. Wind noise much reduced. Bugs now go right over the helmet. :)
Hi,

You might look at offerings from Cee Baileys and from Aeroflow,as well as the previously mentioned Parabellum.
Another option is to add a Laminar Lip to your stock screen.

Aeroflow! Excellent wind protection, especially if you get the aeroguards as well. >55k miles on mine.
You may experience more turbulence with the BMW Comfort screen. I'm 5'10" and hate the comfort screen at speeds over 65. Made me feel like my head was in a paint shaker. If you ride at lower speeds, then it is OK. Check the ususal places like ebay for a used one. Seem to be pretty available at a low enough cost you can try one out.
I'm 6'2 and got the parabellum +8. In the winter the air flows just over the top of my helmet. I also got 30mm barbacks so I'm also sitting a little more upright. In the summer the lower position is about 2" down so I can flip my visor up and get some air flow. I have the Comfort screen, but it was still too low for me and too much noise.
Just bought an 04 GT. Dealer tells me an RS screen will fit it, so I've ordered one (no idea what the P/N is). Can anyone confirm it should fit?

Oops, found this thread which I think answers my question in the affirmative.

Love the Aeroflow.....YOU cannot feel the Air. Only way to go....IMHO.....the comfort sheild was too big...looked like a "chips episode" UUUUGGGLLYYY !!!

Aeroflow, tinted...all year round ! :ricky.....I actually have a short shield for sale....not tinted...THAT MINE !!! :D ....short shield is in good shape....
Which Windscreen??

I have a 2004 GT on which I had a Cee Bailey +4 windscrean which I now have up for sale. It is in excellent like new condition. It is a light grey tint and works great. Can be yours for $195 (includes shipping in the mainland US).

Email me directly if interested at "[email protected]"
I put the Ztechnik short screen on.

It looks great and gives good clean air hitting me in the upper chest and arms. I'm 5'11", 32" inseam, no handlebar risers.

Great for summer, not so good for winter.
I went for the BMW Comfort Screen and i just installed it today. Very pleased. More protection from the weather, less noisy and reasonably priced.

Important: If you buy this screen from anyone other than BMW, make sure they include the top two rubber Buffers that go with it (BMW part nr C46.63.2.309.923). The 98 RS stock Buffers will not work with this screen and will leave a gap.

Stay warm....
Aeroflow...I like the stock for looks, but the Aeroflow works well.

I installed the Parabellum +8 with barbacks and couldn't believe the difference in comfort, quiet, and milage. I can see why the new K1200GTs have larger screens & adjustable handlebars.
