Is the newer one steel or just a stronger aluminium? It's just that it looks like an Al casting, not a steel casting

I don't doubt the new ones are steel, just the image of the new flange looks like an aluminium casting thats all.

Well, just verified with the trusty magnet and the photos kindly provided that my 09GT does, in fact, have the later steel final drive flange installed.
