2007 rsport. 1900 miles. Getting a hesitation at low rev's and starting. almost seem s to bog. Sometimes seems like loose throttle cable. Any Ideas or experience with this problem?

I had the same issue when I bought mine new but at 600 mile service the software upgrade took care of it. And also check which station you put the gas in, I've good luck with Shell, Murphy, and Costco.

apparently gas matters a lot. after putting in 76 race gas in 101 octane in my bike, it became rather smooth.

It seems like there can be up to 1 gal of gas stored int he pump hoses, which won't matter too much on a 15-25 gal car tank, but when you're only filling up ~4gal... having 20% 87 octane and 80% 91 will yield 90.2octane at best, and that's if the existing gal of gas is already 100% 91. My bike seems to like ~93 to run at it's best w/ stock fuel mapping.

Now I only use a 3-hose pump, regardless of gas station. Luckily, there happens to be 3-4 3-hose pump chevrons along my route to and from work.

next mod... power commander + dyno tune...

crazy czech mentioned using an octane booster and claimed huge mileage gains. i was skeptical at first and decided to give it a try, thinking there is no reason he would make something like that up? didn't solve the hesitation though.

i have been getting 30-32 mpg with a 150-160 mile range. i used an octane booster and managed to get slightly over 38 mpg. on the second tank i went 200 miles at 40 mpg. its worth a try. i didn't notice any significant difference in power delivery though.

i get the hesitation at 3500-4000 rpms. when i keep it steady at those rpms, when i try to accelerate there is a "bogging down" or hesitation then it takes off like crazy. this has been a known problem on many of the bikes.

At my first ck up, the tech took out all the slack on the throttle and that seemed to help.

I now have 18,600 mi on my bike and have not had any other problems with fueling etc. I have gotten used to the quirky lean fueling. The surges and slight hesitations have disappeared mostly as a mental accommodation.

Idling along at 15-20 mph in traffic is the worst, but overall a kick-ass bike.

That's exactly why I put the 02 gizmo back on....and run "FUEL ON" http://www.fuelon.com/fuelonpower.html religiously. Got the same mileage as you were Chuck....now I get around 40mpg, even with my heavy hand. Always had success with this shit in my boats, now I use it in my bike and it's even a better bang 4 the $$$

Coulda' sworn Bosch made the Beemer o2's. Besides, the would the input of one brand differ so greatly from the other? Maybe he just needed a new sensor to begin with. And, the 3,000 rpm idle problem, on the GT, was supposed to be heat/airbox warpage related anyway?

Bogging

I just got a 07 K1200LT 38K Miles. Rode it 2.5 hours home. Noticed when pulling away that the bike seam to hesitate. but did not stall. put 87 octane in it on the way home no problem. However after reading that it should have High Test. Started putting shell 93 oct in it and have kept using it. I have run 1 can of seafoam in it, reset the tps, still get bogging but not as much as i think I am finding if I pull away and don't give it gas it doesn't bog, won't work going up a hill i am sure.
also notice that i get chatter when revving up over 2K any gear. If I cruise at 2K no chatter.

Help
